DieselOp Opacity Meter

The DieselOp Opacity Meter accurately detects, measures, and provides a visual read-out of the opacity of smoke emitted by diesel engines. In addition, it is an excellent indication of the combustion efficiency of the vehicle, encouraging maintenance for greater fuel efficiency.
The DieselOp meter comes complete with a PC interface cable and software set, that allows the user to download stored test results to a PC for archiving or printing. You may print with your company logo and address, to encourage repeat business from your customers. The interface program also contains an easy to use ambient correction calculator to adjust opacity readings

DieselOp Opacity Meter Features:

  • Stores up to 100 tests

  • Designed for simplicity, portability and consistent reliability.

  • Accurate to within 1% of readings in both artificial and direct lighting.

  • Optional sensor styles to suit any application. In-line systems are available.

  • Allows for testing in both a "snap -idle" mode, or "follow mode". Both tests can be performed in either raw or filtered data.

  • Available with full flow or partial flow sensor head.

  • Both sensor heads use the same transmitter and receiver, and can be easily interchanged. Expanded yokes allow for readings up to 24" stacks.

The partial flow sensor head is constructed out of light weight anodized aluminum. It comes with a straight and curved nozzle for easy placement on varied stack configurations. Our unique design allows for the passage of the smoke plume past the optics, without the need for a fan.The partial flow head allows for quick and easy placement of the sensor on the stack. The bayonet style nozzle slips into the stack, reducing the possibility for any wind distortion while testing. A clamping style nozzle is also available for quick and easy placement.

The full flow head is an end of line sensor. The light source and receiving unit measure opacity directly across the diameter of the exhaust stack.The optics are protected from the smoke plume by a set of baffles. The head is attached to the stack with a universal band clamp and a set of magnet clamps which hold the sensor head in place. Full flow heads are less susceptible to heat build-up and pressure created by the exhaust during testing.
The complete system consists of a control unit, sensor head assembly, printer, software on CD, extension pole, various connecting cables, calibration filter, instruction manual, and a carrying case.

Felix NO Analyzer  NO/NO2/NOX Analyzer uses Chemiluminescence which is the best practical analytical method for NOx detection. When an NO (nitric oxide) molecule reacts with ozone, it is oxidized to NO2, in an excited state. A small fraction of the molecules in this excited state decays by emitting a photon (i.e. giving off light) in the near infrared portion of the spectrum. The concentration of NOx in the sample is determined by the amount of light emitted from the mixed gas sample. This technique provides an extraordinarily sensitive, selective, and linear measurement of NOx.
