APM - Air Particulate Monitor Series

The APM Air Particulate Monitor series are real time measuring devices for the continuous monitoring of the smallest concentration of particles in the ambient air. These units can accurately measure ambient particles in the atmosphere and are highly demanded in today's monitoring industry. APM systems are easy to operate, accurate, reliable, and repeatable measurements of ambient fine particulate matter. Since sampling is performed under true ambient conditions, semi-volatile organic compounds and nitrates are easily detected, avoiding errors. Size selective concentration measurements can be made using PM10, PM2.5 or PM1 sampling inlets.
The APM series implement advanced Beta ray attenuation principles to measure and record airborne particulate concentration levels. It can directly measure the mass of particulates in air without the effects of compounds, density, color, etc. A low energy Carbon-14 source furnishes a constant supply of beta electrons which are subsequently detected. A filter tape is interposed between the source and the detector which produces an initial reduction in the number of beta electrons reaching the detector. The particulate measurement cycle begins by measuring a clean area (spot) on the tape for a fixed time period to determine a zero value. This clean spot is then moved under a collection apparatus for sample extraction from the stack. A sample of stack gas is drawn through and deposits particles on the filter tape. All particles larger than 0.1 microns are collected. Once a sufficient amount of sample is collected, the tape is moved back under the beta source and re-measured. The ratio of beta transmissions measured from the original clear spot to the collected sample is proportional to the mass on the tape.

APM25 - Air Particulate Monitor by Felix Technology can be used for monitoring of the smallest concentration of airborne particles in the ambient air. APM25 can measure ambient particles in the atmosphere and are highly demanded in today's monitoring industry.

APM25 is a cost effective particulate monitor,

tuned to measure PM2.5 with high reliability

and accuracy.

APM - Air Particulate Monitor Series Features

APM systems are designed as simple, compact, and self-contained beta gauges, for applications where rapid deployment and short and long interval real-time measurements are required.

The M-APM (Air Particulate Monitor) Unit by Felix Technology can measure ambient particles using PM10, PM2.5 or PM1 sampling inlets. It can monitor each of these three airborne particle sizes at a time.

M-APM unit makes size selective concentration real time

measurements using PM10, PM2.5 or PM1 sampling inlets.

This enables units to monitor each of these three particle

sizes at a time.

The APM1025 (Air Particulate Monitor) by Felix Technology can measure ambient particles using PM10 or PM2.5 sampling inlets. It can monitor each of these two airborne particle sizes at a time.

APM1025 is designed as a simple, compact, and

self-contained beta for applications where simultaneous PM10 and PM2.5 real-time measurements are required.

Felix APM2000 Air Particulate Monitor

The APM2000 air particulate monitor implements advanced Beta ray attenuation principles to measure and record airborne particulate concentration levels. It can directly measure the mass of particulates in air without the effects of ingredients, density, color, etc. Each hour, a small 14C (carbon-14) element emits a constant source of high-energy electrons (known as beta rays) through a spot of clean filter tape.

Felix APM2000 Air Particulate Monitor  The APM200 is a dual technology instrument that combines the unequalled real time measurement of light scatter with the accuracy standard of filter methods. The simple filter loading process testifies to the seamless blending of both technologies. Filters can be extracted and replaced in less than one minute and filter medium can be selected based on laboratory analysis. Particulate loading on the filter does not reduce performance due to the actual flow control protocol. Ambient temperature and pressure are measured and actual flow is calculated and controlled by the APM200 microprocessor independent of filter loading change.
